Sport in Athenry Primary School

Athenry Primary School, carrying on the rich traditions of both Scoil Chroí Naofa and Athenry Boys School, encourages a wide range of sports such as hurling, football, soccer, rugby, athletics, volleyball, basketball, swimming and handball and is open to the introduction of other sports and disciplines. We sincerely believe that there is a sport for everyone and one of our most important roles is to encourage the participation of all pupils in some form of physical activity to promote a healthy lifestyle, fitness and wellbeing.
